Network Core
The IX-NWWA acts as the headend for the WA-RBC network and consists of a fully redundant enterprise switch (Cisco 6513) which contains redundant power supplies and supervisor modules and which is populated with, initially, 72 10 Gigabit fiber optic interfaces and 48 1 gigabit copper interfaces. Each 10 Gigabit port can support a CAP or very high bandwidth service provider while each 1 Gigabit over copper supports interconnection with high bandwidth service providers located at the Tulalip Tribes data center. Examples of providers which may do so are entities providing disaster recovery services, high definition television, and voice over IP.
